Since the beginning of the pandemic, the former president’s fortune has decreased by $600 million, writes the Voice of America News Service.
Former U.S. President Donald Trump for the first time in 25 years was not included in the annual ranking of the 400 richest Americans according to Forbes magazine.
According to Forbes, the former president’s fortune is estimated at $2.5 billion, $400 million less than the amount needed to be included on this year’s list.
According to the publication, Trump’s fortune has declined by $600 million since the pandemic began.
This is largely due to the pandemic’s impact on real estate in major cities, which makes up the bulk of Trump’s fortune.
Trump was ranked 339th in 2020 and 275th in 2019.
Trump was listed every year from 1996 to 2020 and every year from 1982 to 1989.
The 2021 rankings are led by the heads of technology companies.
First place went to Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, whose fortune is estimated at $201 billion.
The head of Tesla and SpaceX, Ilon Musk, came in second place with a fortune of $190.5 billion.
